NGC1300

NGC1300

NGC1300 is a classic barred spiral galaxy approximately 70-75 million light-years distant in the Constellation Eridanus. The central bar of NGC1300 is 150,000 light-years long, larger than the size of our own Milky Way. It has received intense study to determine more about our own barred spiral Milky Way. Its symmetrical design makes it an interesting and beautiful object.
