DETAILS: Imaged with 12.5" RCOS Truss RC on an ME Robotic mount, using an ST-10XME SBIG camera at f6.8. LRGB:270:60:60:60, with Tru-Balance filters. Processed in MaxIm, RegiStar, CCDSharp, and Photoshop CS.
COMMENTARY:NGC1070 is a dim barred spiral galaxy at a distance of approximately 54 million light-years in the Constellation Cetus. It is a peculiarly shaped, disturbed galaxy, and three of the faint, fuzzy objects near the galaxy are quasars.
