M20 Triffid Nebula

COMMENTARY: The Triffid is located in the Constellation Sagittarius in a richly star-filled region which includes M8 and several open and globular clusters. Its distance is approximately 5,000 light-years. It is an emission nebula with a bright blue reflection nebula adjoining, and presents an exceptionally beautiful imaging target.
